AAPL Apple Computers.
This is the blame for all that follows. Apple was at the bottom of popularity and many wondered, in MAY07 if Apple would ever top or beat one hundred dollars again.
LLTC Linear Technology
Got chips? All different electronics on the shelves today depend upon very few semiconductor chip makers. One such is Linear Technology in Milpitas, California. Brought to our attention in MARCH07 by Kiplinger's magazine, its cost then was about $33.
CTXS Citrix Systems
Citrix, a telecommuter's best friend in software, was at about $31. MAY07, $33; Recently, $35. The $2 gain is a tiny 6% on our money. Will our money drop as the Summer travel season ends or will it be the opposite? We can picture holiday travel helping this one.

GOOG Google
So there are some stocks which are so highly valued that investing in them is unrealistically impossible. One such would be Google. Percentage gains are difficult here.
ZBRA Zebra Technologies
Bar Codes that are fairly invisible to you on a daily basis have to be read. One of the leading makers of bar code reading hardware is Zebra Technologies. No, not exciting and unless bar codes become big news, we don't foresee big jumps but let's see since it's fake money.
EBAY is eBay
It looks like every year after Christmas, eBay gives a little kick upward. At the moment, eBay is near its 52-week high for this year at about $34 bucks. We're taking a chance on this one by buying in early and hoping Santa smiles on us shortly.

About this page...
We're not insane because we're not really putting money on this. Did you ever have a magical pretend portfolio in high school? We didn't, so we're trying it here. We're no experts, ignore most of what we say! ;)
Playing on the stock market comes from a number of sources including mentions on NPR, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, others and our own morbid curiosity. All the mergers and buy-outs and Web 2.0's have sparked what many call a Tech Revival. Maybe yes, maybe no. Maybe we'll find out.

About Yahoo! Finance...
One day we got a Yahoo! e-mail opening up a ton of neat possibilties and toys to download. Widgets and junk like this might be the sort of thing that float your boat. Clicking the Finance Widgets will get you yours.
The most valuable asset to this Finance tracker is that it works with percentages. If you notice, GOOG and LLTC are about $500 APART yet they run close together on the chart; percentage gains are easier when the stock is lower. So sometimes LLTC will be a better investment after all.
