14JAN08 – Love it. This isn’t really news, but as an Information Ninja, you have to read it for what it is. “Google Sees Surge in iPhone Traffic,” is the title of a nytimes.com article. We’re playing the Stock Market, we need to think of what the masses are going to think when they see this. What we should really think is, “guess the
NYTimes had nothing better to write.”

Memory has been growing in ability and shrinking in form even though it doesn’t look that way.
SIMM’s and
DIMM’s are the chips that sit on a stick of
RAM. Sticks of
RAM store information as 1’s and 0’s down a row or column just like parking spaces. The pins are the gold connectors that touch the motherboard; that’s the opening of the parking space where multiple instructions or memories are stored. When you see Row Access or Column Access, you’re told, on average, how many clock cycles of the
CPU are needed to move information out of the way to get to the information at the back or the column or row. Smaller numbers are faster. 11JAN08 – Are we half as smart as Grandpa Dinarius? We were given a challenge to find out. Within the next month, not only will we be simplifying and covering news items that most tech blogs stumble on to and fail to make understandable, but we’re going to whip out our razor sharp crystal ball and point it. The stock market, design trends, tech trends and more stock market will, if we’re half what Grandpa was, crumple to the floor in bloody heaps.
