Pink Floyd's Roger Waters Trippy Pig.

Did you know that if you were inflatable and released from a Pink Floyd concert in Coachella, you’d only get about as far as La Quinta, or 16 miles? One famous inflatable pig discovered this as it broke its tethers and tripped out into the smaller-than-great unknown. Nature was less than kind. Google Maps shows that pigs fly mostly as the crow flies: In basically straight lines. The twenty-first century has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to quantifying long-standing mysteries…

First, languages are traced back to a 10,000 year old trunk (meaning languages ‘branched out’ from there), then we find a half-ton giant squid (on TV soon after this aritcle) and now, we know not just when pigs fly, but more importantly, HOW.

Nature was less than kind to this trippy pig. It arrived in tatters and shreds strewn between the properties of two La Quinta couples. The stage prop, now the property of Roger Waters, had been in use since 1977 when it appeared on Pink Floyd’s “Animals” cover. Organizers of the Southern California music festival offered a $10,000 reward for the return of the two-story tall pig. The couples, hailed as, “cool” by their kids, split the bacon.
