I’ve found myself having to remember how things were left to get an idea of just what to expect from this coming movie…
To X-Phile co-conspiritor, Mary, I wrote:
it’s been a super long time and I had to think about it. Mulder and Scully gave way to what’s her name and Dogget. Scully was around every once in a while, but Mulder was just gone. Then there were four special episodes directed by the disenfranchised David Duck-phony or whatever that name is, Icelandic or something. Anyway, the culmination of THOSE four episode was he, Scully, an indian in a cave and the Cigarette Smoking man all sort of wrangling for topsies. The bitter end was Mulder and Scully taking the baby that was THEIRS and driving off into the setting sun’s direction to raise the baby and hide from Martians.
David got buggy when it seemed that the show’s creator wasn’t going to write an end to the damn thing. So David left and was then offered a chance to write an end to the damn thing much to the delight of all of us. It was classic X-Files humor when Mulder found Dogget in his office downstairs. They never met before – it was a great WTF? moment. Chris Carter never got any other show off the ground since X-Files ended. He tried like mad too because his name was golden.
David Duckovny still refers to X-Files as the best show ever made and I say that despite some great writing from a lot of other shows since, I agree with him. X-Files still stands alone and it’s that ORIGINAL writing and acting force behind the coming movie which, I guess, will show us what Mulder, Scully and “Spooky-Junior” have been up to.
I’m so sorry in advance to everyone who reads the site for computer knowledge. I’m such a sick-bastard for the X-Files and never got the chance to GeoCities about it back in the day, that I’ll devote some future writing to looking back and WHY X-Files was so perfect.
gotcha……….so your a fan of x-files also!!!!! please, please, lets hear somemore!!!!!!!!!!!!
