Danish Translator Wanted.

Our reach is barely global as you can see in the image below. We’re East Coast, baby. And proud of it. Much to our delight, we’re West Coast too! For Europe. Imagine that. Since Dinarius covers consumer goods and issues that the global economy provides us here as much as you there, it’s not such a stretch that our audience is geographically positioned the way it is. So, enough babble. We want a paid, part-time Danish translator.

Danish translator wanted.

Why Danish? Three reasons:

ONE

I, Bryan, have been to Denmark and lived there for a few months. It’s phenominal. Even when I saw it in Winter (quite cold) at its worst, it was fantastic. The Queen keeps things clean, 9 out of 10 Danes speak English better than 19 out of 20 USA English Speakers and everyone is just as forgiving as one could hope for. All I learned to say in Danish was, Tak, Man tak, Unskyld, Mor, Far, Vel, Ikke en rute, billet, Nej, ja, skö, sköen, Ji kan kun telle smulle Danske (an obvious lie) and that’s it. *I probably spelled all that wrong, but: Thanks, Thanks a lot, Sorry, Mother, Father, What? Not in service (otherwise a great mass transit system), ticket, No, yes, shoe, shoes, I can speak a little Danish (still an obvious lie).

TWO

Danish is the closest thing to Middle English and it fascinates me. Also, it’s so close to German, Swedish, Finnish and Dutch or “Hellish” (I don’t know if you appreciate that joke) that you guys would get it too. English speakers: How’s this for neat – Apotek is where you get medicine in Denmark. See? Apothocary? If your English vocabulary is above-average, Danish is just cool! They use the words we would use if it didn’t make us feel so geeky!

Ji kan kun telle smulle Danske.
I only can tell small Danish – lot’s of fun! Translating Danish literally is easy and makes you sound like a six year old!

THREE

It’s the only language in the World with this letter: Ø
As soon as you see that, you know it’s Danish. And the letter, all by itself, is a word: Island. Too friggin’ poetic, right?

If you’re interested, the phone number to call is everywhere on the site. The voicemail is typically full. This job can be by telecommuting thanks to the glory of the Internet.
