Dinarius Computers has an eye out for the underdog. If Above The Fold is full of news you’ve never seen anywhere else, you’re one such underdog. Retailers are finally able to almost give away Intel Centrino powered laptops and computers because the awkwardly code-named, Intel Montevina platform looks like it just became the second generation Intel Centrino. I you like value and are convinced easily that discounted processors are valuable, then be on guard.

Shortly after today’s announcement, retailers will be under strict order to sell, sell, sell those now-ancient Intel Centrino models to make room for the better, faster, more valuable, Centrino 2 models that will most likely ship in this quarter. In the computer world, production factory to shelf is pretty quick. Centrino processors are ideal for mobile technology and operate more and more of the mobile gadgets that are assailing everyday life – if you’ve held out this long, keep holding out another month.

Centrino complaints include horrible performance on computers meant to act like primary computers. A Centrino in a desktop running a network and more than several applications will fail you for performance. Don’t save money at the processor level. Source.
