As predicted, there’s another service offering predictions to all who will listen. Start-up, YouNoodle.com is attempting to predict the success of start-ups. It seems at first that they will be the target of some unhappy contemporaries should their prediction algorithms vote against the success of other start-ups, but Silicon Valley is courting this effort with cash. Today, the site is emerging from rounds of private testing and opening some areas of the site to the public.

They feel that, given certain information, they can predict the success with which any given start-up will meet within three to five years (site says three, source says five). The two young bucks wisely qualify the proposed ability by saying their service, “might give an edge to venture capitalists and other investors trying to decide whether to sink money into an early-stage company.” The start-up duo, Kirill Makharinsky, 21, and Bob Goodson, 27, do understand the paradox of the possible failure of their own start-up.
