Musician Benn Jordan is also “Flashbulb,” electronica musician and underground fave. Fans met him recently and gave kudos to the Apple iTune downloads they paid for. Benn Jordan is underground enough to the point that he controls 100% of his production, work and rights, and couldn’t recall any deal with Apple to profit from his work and cut him out.

Flashbulb isn’t the first artist to be absorbed mysteriously by Apple iTunes and not be paid. While each song is only 99 cents at times, Benn receives nothing. Benn has been vocal in using the Internet as an ally to draw attention to the matter and even newly interested Flashbulb fans like me, are taking note. Benn has made his entire album available for free download from subscription sites like www.what.cd and free sites like IDMTrade find the little blue writing that says ‘download’.

His story hit the front of Techmeme and received nearly 2,000 “DIGGs” at TorrentFreak which also offers Benn Jordan’s Flashbulb Album, Soundtrack To A Vacant Life. Benn is looking to go viral; the story against Apple deserves it even if the music dips back again to underground status.

Apple has made no comment to ths story.
