Linus is exactly the name I was hoping the creator of Linux would have. Linus Torvalds rightfully, yet gently smite Macintosh for creating an update to its operating system that made for, “total crap.” More specifically, “OS X in some ways is actually worse than Windows to program for. Their file system is complete and utter crap, which is scary.” Linus must smell the coming success of One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) and the Asus Eee PC which are both fringe efforts centered on economy and green-thinking. Macintosh is based on his stuff, Linux. So to be tongue-lashed as never before by the Father of your child can (hopefully) have a pretty far-reaching effect.
Windows Vista is still making news for terrible compatibility issues and driver problems (we had one yesterday for a Civilization upgrade problem). Mac’s OS X was supposed to be a golden deliverance from incompatibility and problems some months ago. Seems that too big a company means that the OS isn’t as invisible as it should be. Source.
